Car Wash Site Manager A

About the Role

This position is based at Tunnel Wash BU - Region 02 - Market 02, located at 814 N Main St, Bloomington, Illinois 61701. Shift availability requires flexible availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to successfully recruit and onboard new employees, train and coach staff, schedule employee shifts with strict adherence to overtime policies, and perform activities around employee engagement, performance management, and recognition
• Maintain a focus on growing sales volume and increasing site profitability
• Manage operating P&L metrics and understand how expenditures/costs impact business margins and pricing
• Ensure that customers are satisfied and that any inquiries, incidents and issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Ensure the site follows all approved safety procedures
• Ensure the site follows all approved vehicle damage claim procedures
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
• Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a management role. Candidates with supervisory or assistant manager experience from a big box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.
• An unexpired Driver's License is required. A motor vehicle record check (MVR) will be run on the successful candidate post-offer.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday; use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, crouch, and kneel
• Must be able to work in damp and humid conditions
• Must be able to work in outdoor variable weather conditions
• May have to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs

Working Environment

• Works in a typical outdoor car wash environment
• Noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE)
• Must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols and will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection
• Must be capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision
