About the Role
This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the Abbott Vascular Devices division. The Capital Service Analyst leverages data and analytical tools to support senior leadership by extracting valuable insights and making data-driven decisions for an organization. This role specializes in business analytics services such as business intelligence, market and customer research and analysis, and dashboard creation for business units and integrated services groups. Manage Global Service Excellence activities to optimize Capital and Service Business, and support overall AV Business through analytics and digitization.
Responsibilities
- Manage all analytics and KPI management for Global CES organization, primarily in Power BI.
- Develop, document, and maintain data governance processes, design, and workflow.
- Plan and implement service processes optimized for analytics and reporting.
- Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide process engineering for operational processes to maximize efficiency and contribute towards gross margin improvement.
- Identify specific opportunities for customer experience, efficiency, or revenue opportunities.
- Guide/support service operations leaders to identify process gaps, improve service delivery, and customer experience.
- Contribute to regional and global service strategy.
- Liaise with service leaders globally to identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Communicate project updates and status regularly with the appropriate stakeholders, identifying barriers.
- Understand and utilize data sources to assess business performance; develop reporting that enhances the ability to dissect business-critical issues.
- Effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct data acquisition from databases, syndicated data, and other disparate sources; aggregate data and select appropriate techniques and tools to create relevant and timely reporting.
- Create process improvements to existing data capabilities and reporting functions.
- Proactively identify and propose solutions by understanding the data sources and usages being utilized in common processes.
- Craft compelling stories and assessments based on key findings; present findings to leadership and provide actionable recommendations.
- Utilize and understand tools such as Excel, Power BI, Azure, Databricks, DAX, and SQL.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (16 years) in data analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics, information technology, science, or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, business intelligence analyst, or related profession.
- Experience with the Power Suite of Microsoft 365 (Power BI, Power Automate & Power Apps).
- Proven project experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
- Basic programming experience (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++ and/or equivalent).
- Working experience with SQL and database applications.
- Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Project management experience: medium to large projects.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in team settings.
- Ability to form interpersonal, professional relationships within cross-functional and internal teams.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams both internal and external, including executives, managers, and other professionals, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making processes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices to effectively communicate insight.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.
- Knowledge and experience in data modeling and data warehousing concepts & tools (SAS, SQL) as well as programming languages.
- Ability to work with large datasets through data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation techniques and identify patterns, correlations, and trends from data that can provide insights into business operations, customer behavior, or market dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills to summarize and convey complex data findings to both technical and business executives and strong influential skills with the ability to glean insights and translate them into business recommendations for senior management.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity.

Pay
The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
