Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise the overall office services activities and office support staff to include assigning and scheduling work and staff training sessions, approving absences, evaluating performance, monitoring career development, training staff, and recommending the hiring, disciplinary actions and dismissal of staff.
Recommend, plan and implement program support operations within areas of direct responsibility.
Develop, modify, and implement program procedures to respond to policy changes.
Assist with interpreting policies and procedures; ensure compliance to state, federal and local regulations.
Compose original correspondence and various reports; compile supporting statistical data and informational material.
Oversee records retention, filing procedures and electronic data management systems.
Serve on interdepartmental committees and attend meetings to develop and coordinate procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve on interdepartmental committees and attend meetings to develop and coordinate procedures.
- Prepare various documents and presentation materials requiring advanced technical skills using a variety of computer applications.
- Oversee the inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Cover assigned research and special projects; lead and participate in various team projects.
- Compile data from a variety of resources/systems and create reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare staff and client appointment schedules utilizing program software to support needs and services of the program.
Essential Job Functions

- Considerable knowledge of County and department programs, policies, and procedures.
- Considerable skill in operating personal computers, software and office equipment.
- Considerable skill in business English, grammar, math, and bookkeeping principles.
- Ability to coach and supervise subordinates.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work efficiently.
Work Environment
- Work is performed within a County office building.
- Lifting requirement of up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Equipment used may include, but is not limited to computer, printer, typewriter, calculator, telephone, pager, cell phone, copy and fax machine and dictaphone.
