Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to identify construction and capital project delivery risks, technical challenges, and opportunities to improve the efficiency, governance, and performance of capital programs.
  • Develop strategies to solve complex business problems using new ways of thinking, and devise solutions to support your clients' needs through using the latest tools and methods.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel and further these relationships through quality product delivery.
  • Foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market.
  • Mentor and provide performance development to teams as you oversee the successful completion of project work plans.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of construction project lifecycles, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and closeout.
  • Confidently assess project governance, project controls, cost and schedule management, contract administration, and contractor oversight practices.
  • Experienced in identifying and mitigating construction risks, including cost overruns, delays, change orders, and claims.
  • Passionate about advising clients on large-scale, complex construction programs and delivering high-impact solutions.
  • Promoted to build executive-level relationships and drive long-term client value.
  • Motivated to lead teams, develop talent, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Motivated to stay current on construction industry trends, delivery models, and technologies.
  • Active in contributing to go-to-market strategies, solution development, and innovation within the practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field).
  • 8+ years of experience in Consulting, Construction, Engineering, Project Controls, or Capital Project Management.
  • Experience with construction and project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, e-Builder, Kahua, CMIC, or similar platforms).
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, PE, or similar preferred.

Skills

  • Project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across the lifecycle.
  • Contract strategy, procurement, and delivery models (e.g., EPC, design-build, CM at-risk).
  • Contract administration, including change order management, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Project controls, including cost, schedule, and performance monitoring against KPIs.
  • Construction documentation review (budgets, schedules, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and reports).
  • Contractor and subcontractor performance evaluation and oversight.
  • Auditing construction projects and capital programs, including governance and controls frameworks.
  • Identifying risks related to cost overruns, schedule delays, scope changes, and disputes.
  • Supporting or leading claims analysis, dispute advisory, or forensic project reviews.
  • Evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
  • Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
  • Successfully pursuing business development opportunities and identifying and implementing strategies to obtain new work or clientele.
  • Translating and communicating issues, risk, or challenges to client personnel, including executives.
  • Leading teams, developing talent, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Pay

$121,000.00 - $195,000.00

Schedule

Hybrid workplace model combining in-person and remote work. Remote and in-person requirements vary by client, project, team, and other business factors.
