Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of projects based on business objectives through effective project execution planning.
- Manage projects across several categories including plant maintenance, productivity, safety, and strategic growth.
- Organize and lead capital projects through adherence to the appropriate project management methodology.
- Work with the team to acquire and release project resources throughout project phases.
- Ensure accurate execution of project scope, cost, and schedule.
- Align business objectives, project objectives, and the basis of design.
- Develop roles and responsibility definitions and ensure each functional team member understands their role and deliverables.
- Interface with Corporate Capital Project Leadership and Business Capital Planning Manager.
- Drive capital project work as described in Grace standards.
- Avoidance of safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials.
- Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, in chemical or mechanical engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in Project Management in a manufacturing or chemical industry.
- Experience with project management software to control scope, schedule, and budget.
Qualifications
- SAPProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
- Experience using MS Project.
- Experience utilizing the Front-end loading method of project development.
