About the role
Chemours is seeking an on-site Capital Project Manager to join our growing Enterprise Capital Center of Excellence team. This position will be available at the La Porte Site and report directly to the Southwest Regional Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Translate business objectives into the capital project objectives.
- Accountable to the business for project success including project cost and investment ensuring all non-capital alternatives to meet the business objectives have been evaluated.
- Clearly set overall Project Team direction and expectations.
- Responsible through the Project Team members for acquiring and releasing project resources as needed during the life of the project.
- Develop and maintain project estimates and schedules.
- Manage overall project expenditures and schedule to meet business expectations.
- Provide primary interface between the Project Team and the Business Unit Steering Team.
- Drive capital project work processes and practices as described in the company’s procedures.
- Lead all gatekeeping reviews and ensure all Front-end (FEL) deliverables are met including preparing all project-funding documents.
- Ensure commissioning and turnover plans and operations and maintenance procedures relative to the project are prepared.
- Collaborate with Construction Leaders to facilitate the overall process and address design issues that impede construction performance.
Requirements
- BS degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
- 7 plus years of engineering project management experience.
- Self-managing, proactive.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Teams.
Preferred
- PMP Certification.
- Texas PE License.
- Experience in a manufacturing facility in an industrial setting.
- Experience working in the chemicals/repetro-chemicals industry.
- Experience working in a Phase-Gate Project Process.

Pay
- $102,735.00 - $160,524.00 per year
- Annual Bonus Target 8%
