About the role

Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking an experienced Corporate Associate with four to five years of experience to join our Denver office. This associate will primarily support the Capital Markets & Corporate Compliance Practice Group in Denver and will work closely with Dorsey partners and clients on a wide variety of matters, providing a great opportunity for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Capital Markets & Corporate Compliance Practice Group in Denver
  • Work closely with Dorsey partners and clients on a wide variety of matters
  • Provide legal advice and support in areas such as securities law, corporate governance and compliance, M&A, cross-border transactions, and public offerings

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Four to five years of corporate law experience, including capital markets and corporate compliance matters
  • Experience with securities law (1933 Act and 1934 Act), corporate governance and compliance, M&A, cross border transactions (U.S./Canada, U.S./China, or U.S. Europe), and public offerings
  • Colorado bar admission or the ability to become admitted in Colorado

  • Excellent analytical and writing skills

  • Strong academic performance

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $245,000 - $265,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. The individual hired for this position may have the option of electing a lower billable-hours track with a proportional reduction in salary. Associates are eligible to participate in Dorsey’s associate bonus program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.

Where applicable, attorneys may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and/or a productivity bonus, clerkship bonus, relocation expenses, and bar review expenses.
