Capital Engineer

Principle Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage mill capital projects, focusing on mechanical aspects.
• Provide engineering services to maintenance and operating department personnel as needed to resolve all mechanical issues.
• Develop project scopes, plans, and justifications, prepare cost estimates, and ensure engineering design, equipment, and material specifications are met.
• Manage project costs, schedules, consultants, contractors, and construction, ensuring start-up processes are smooth and efficient.
• Create and implement safety plans to ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Interact with purchasing, accounting, and other departments within the mill to facilitate project progress and compliance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting or equivalent experience.
• Project Management skills are essential.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project, is required.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• A current valid driver’s license is required.

Compensation And Benefits

• Starting salary range: $85,000 to $127,200.
• Paid vacation and holidays.
• Enrollment in certain benefit coverages (medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability) within the first 30 days of employment.
