What You Will Do
- Plan, organize, manage and execute designated engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.
- Perform detailed engineering design tasks for assigned projects, including calculations, drawings and specifications, maintaining accurate records of design work and revisions throughout the project life cycle.
- Develop and prepare technical documentation and reports to support design decisions and project requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering solutions into overall project plans.
- Conduct design reviews, evaluate vendor proposals ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards and company requirements.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to model, simulate and analyze design components.
- Absorb and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning phases.
- Continuously improve design processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the project office.
What You Bring To Freeport
- Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and seven (7) years of experience in engineering or related scientific field, including lead or supervisory experience, OR Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and five (5) years of experience in engineering or related scientific field, including lead or supervisory experience.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering.
- Skilled in managing large/complex engineering projects.
- Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees.
- Advanced degree and/or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification preferred.
- Expertise with applicable industry standards and Mechanical and Piping engineering design criteria.
- Expertise developing Mechanical and Piping deliverables such as Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), PFDs, Piping Isometric and Orthographic drawings, Equipment Datasheets, Bills of Material (BOMs), and Engineering Work Packages (EWPs).
- Proficiency developing and contributing to development of scoping documents, P6 schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and estimates.
- Expertise in Caesar analysis including ability to interpret results and develop design recommendations.
- Proficiency interfacing with database design software.
What We Offer You
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $112,000 - $160,000.
- This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance.
