Capital Buyer/Systems Spec

About the role

Department: Biomedical Engineering Service. The Capital Buyer/Systems Specialist is responsible for procurement of all operational and routine capital purchases of furniture and equipment system-wide. This position provides support for all non-routine, non-standard furniture and equipment quotes and purchases across the system. Additionally, this role is responsible for all operational procurement software systems.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of business experience or equivalent work experience directly related to purchasing, project coordination, product research, customer service, supply chain, preferably in healthcare field.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated functional knowledge of supply chain systems and processes, preferably PeopleSoft knowledge.
• Proficiency in project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize a variety of duties.
• Proficiency in the advanced use of computer software and databases in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheets).
• Ability to take initiative, work with little supervision and solve problems independently.
• Proficiency in the ERP system (PeopleSoft).
• High School Diploma, GED or Certificate (required).
• Associate's Degree (preferred).
