Capability Lead - Client 360
About the role
Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 company founded in 1889, is a global financial institution known for its award-winning services and commitment to excellence. The Sr. Manager, Product Management oversees the development of Client360 & Aggregation, a critical capability aimed at creating consistent, connected representations of clients across Wealth Management systems. This role also manages the Aggregation product team, which facilitates external account connectivity and data ingestion across the Wealth ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Client360 & Aggregation in alignment with Wealth Management and Capability-level objectives.
Shape multi-phase and longer-term roadmaps that define how Client360 & Aggregation capabilities will mature into scalable, adoptable platform services that become the foundation for reporting and enable proactive client advice, insights, and analytics.
Lead end-to-end product execution for Client360 & Aggregation initiatives across multiple platforms and teams.
Define product requirements for foundational Client360 & Aggregation capabilities, including client and household structures, ownership and relationship representation, planning-oriented data models, and complex client scenarios such as estate considerations.
Maintain a healthy, outcome-aligned backlog that balances scope, pace, quality, budget, and delivery risk.
Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, integration points, and delivery risks across data, platform, and experience workstreams.
Partner closely with business, design, data, engineering, and adjacent product teams to translate complex needs into clear, deliverable product plans.
Drive alignment across platforms to reduce duplication, improve data consistency, and enable shared ways of working.
Communicate product direction, tradeoffs, progress, and outcomes clearly to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Represent the business lens within the product team by grounding decisions in client value, business impact, and financial risk considerations.
Contribute to data-driven business cases and leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to inform priorities and solution design.
Apply strong understanding of enterprise data products, shared data models, workflow implications, and cross-system dependencies.
Consider regulatory, compliance, and operational constraints relevant to client data and Wealth Management products.
Serve as an exemplar of product management craft within a cross-functional product team.
Mentor and coach Product Managers and peers, helping raise product capability across the organization.
Create, refine, or scale tools, templates, and practices that improve product discovery, prioritization, facilitation, and delivery effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
7–10 years of product management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Proven experience owning product strategy, requirements, prioritization, and roadmap planning for enterprise-scale capabilities.
Strong ability to lead through influence in matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Experience delivering data-heavy products involving shared data models, workflows, and platform integrations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate product vision, drive clarity, and frame tradeoffs in ambiguous environments.
Experience working in agile delivery environments and partnering closely with engineering and data teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Wealth Management or Financial Services experience, particularly in areas involving client data, relationship structures, advisory workflows, or platform modernization.
Experience aligning multiple platforms around shared data, common workflows, or unified client experiences.
Experience extending foundational platforms into broader data products, analytics, or intelligence-driven capabilities.
