About the role
This is a 2nd shift position (2:00pm-10:00pm) reporting directly to the Dept. 631 Supervisor at the Painesville location.
Responsibilities
- Perform all clean and cap operations, including but not limited to: clean & cap tasks, mega dip, maintaining all automated equipment, mold prep, dewax, flashfire and special lot expediting
- Operate equipment efficiently in performing duties
- Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Engineering
- Record, on a daily basis, all work performed and the correct distribution of the work time identifying same by operational codes
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly, following all safety rules
- Handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy
- Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor
- Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year stable manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical process or ceramic industry
- Experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc.
- Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality and quantity
- Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record
- Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving
- Have strong sense of urgency
- Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and may be substituted by experience
Physical and mental demands
- The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines
- Must be able to pass a physical, vision, and hearing test
- Pass the visual acuity exam
