Cap Operator (3rd shift)

Shift: 3rd, 10:00pm–6:30am

About the role

The Clean & Cap Operator performs operations and operates equipment efficiently to meet production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous waste in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
• Perform clean and cap operations, including mega dip, maintaining automated equipment, mold prep, dewax, flashfire, and special lot expediting.
• Meet efficiency standards established by Engineering.
• Record daily work performed and distribute work time by operational codes.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly, following all safety rules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted by experience).
• Minimum of 1 year stable manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical process or ceramic industry.
• Experience with miscellaneous hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, and inspection tools.
• Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality and quantity.
• Strong attendance record and dependability with flexible hours.
• Comfortable using a team approach to problem-solving and a strong sense of urgency.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Ability to handle high stress associated with high activity and tight deadlines.
• Must pass a physical, vision, and hearing test.
• Must pass a visual acuity exam.
