About the role

We are seeking a CANS Assessment Associate to join our team at Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH). ISBH is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization serving Southeastern and Central Ohio. We provide comprehensive behavioral health services and collaborate with local partners to promote healthy communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive CANS assessments for children, adolescents, and transitional-age youth in various settings
  • Build and maintain knowledge of OhioRISE referral pathways and specialty program offerings
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the electronic health record and CANS portal
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, families, and community partners to support timely access to coordinated behavioral health care
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with referral systems, community partners, and collateral agents
  • Utilize databases and Electronic Health Record systems for accurate client documentation
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, mandated reporting requirements, and professional ethical guidelines
  • Travels within designated service areas

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in community mental health, child welfare, or a closely related human services setting
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced communication skills, advanced organizational skills, knowledge of child and adolescent behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and family systems, ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions, ability to maintain confidential information, ability to adhere to safety, rules, regulations, and requirements, knowledge of Medicaid regulations and compliance requirements, access to reliable transportation, valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle, appropriate level of auto insurance coverage, ability to manage deadlines, ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment, ability to maintain high-speed internet connection
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Qualifications

  • Current Ohio CANS certification or ability to certify within the first 21 days of employment

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.00-$22.26 per hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.
