About the Role

The Campus-Wide Supervisor is responsible for developing relationships with youth in the residential and independent living programs. This role requires understanding safety plans and major triggers for each youth, as well as possessing strong de-escalation techniques and coping strategies. The Campus-Wide Supervisor will develop professional relationships with staff and multidisciplinary treatment teams, identify training needs, coach, train, and provide clear feedback to staff. The role involves collaborating with division leaders and team members on effective implementation of treatment plans and behavior interventions. Adequate completion of documentation and reports according to DABSJ policy, procedures, state, and contract requirements is critical. This position provides clear direction to staff in crisis management situations and reassigns staff to address dynamic staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • De-escalation and crisis management across campus.
  • Primary decision maker on campus for immediate needs.
  • Ensure all documentation and paperwork is accurately completed according to policy and procedure.
  • Support and model the ongoing implementation of Sanctuary.
  • Assure medications are accurately distributed in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Model and coach trauma-responsive and strength-based interventions for Youth Development Specialists.
  • Ensure all physical restraints are done according to DABSJ and state policies, practices, and procedures. Must be physically present for all restrictive interventions unless an emergency situation arose in which physical presence was not possible.
  • Attend all supervisor meetings.
  • Address all youth grievances in a timely manner in accordance with the requirements of licensing, PREA, and contract.
  • Provide program leadership within the houses regularly in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Facilitate a culture of exceptional client care which meets or exceeds contract, licensing, and accreditation standards.
  • Report any deviation trends away from established policies and procedures immediately to program leaders to reduce critical incidents.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge and understanding of all relevant contract, accreditation, and regulatory standards and assure the work of YDS staff meets those standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Perform other Agency responsibilities as set forth in Agency personnel policies as amended.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Human Services or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a childcare institution.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the strengths, needs, challenges, and resilience of youth and families.
  • Demonstrated experience or ability to work with school, court, behavioral health, and child welfare partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
  • Experience providing quick decision-making in high-stress environments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the Agency.
  • Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case management and clinical record systems.
  • Demonstrated compatibility working in an environment that demands the highest levels of collaboration, cooperation, communication, participation, trust, respect, and mutual accountability and responsiveness to leadership supervision.

  • Office Environment: No exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, chemicals, or hazardous equipment.

The role involves the following environmental conditions for less than 2 hours daily:

  • Medical Environment: Exposure to body fluids, radiation, medical equipment, solvents, or chemicals.

The role involves the following environmental conditions for 2 to 5 hours daily:

  • Noise: Exposure to constant or intermittent extreme sounds.
  • Temperature: Exposure to extreme heat or cold either indoors or outside.

Pay

Beginning pay range: $52,000 - $59,000

Schedule

Full-time salaried exempt position. Ability to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the Agency, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
