Campus Transportation Manager - IDEA Lakeland (26-27)

Role Mission

Provide safe transportation for up to 1,000 students on a daily basis while reducing operational cost.

What We Offer

• Compensation: Hourly rate ranging between $22.50 for 0 years of experience and $28.20. Performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment.

What You Bring

• Competencies: Communication skills, conflict resolution, leadership, time management.
• Qualifications: GED or High School Diploma, experience in large passenger vehicle operation, valid CDL with class P and S endorsements, completed bus driver safety training course, over 21 years old, pass alcohol and drug tests, DOT physical examination.

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students with zero preventable incidents/accidents.
• Screen and test employees to ensure they possess or are acquiring excellent skills in operating a school bus.
• Maintain a culture of safety and compliance with time schedules and applicable laws, codes, rules, and regulations.
• Oversee dispatch office operations, monitor buses, respond to emergencies, and conduct accident investigations.
• Create and update routes using Transfinder and Synovia, ensuring efficient fleet operation and maintaining a 7% savings on maintenance cost.
• Communicate with school site staff, administrators, parents, and outside agencies to resolve transportation issues, student behavioral problems, and special accommodations.
• Supervise Campus Transportation Assistant Manager and Campus Bus Drivers, fostering a team and family environment that embodies core values.
