Campus Safety Specialist - 7 hrs/day (Rio Tierra JHS)

About the role

Provides a preventative presence and facilitates communications between students, parents, visitors, and school staff that enhances understanding and promotes a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age 21 years
• One year of security/surveillance experience
• Specialized, successful training in security, safety, and behavior intervention
• One year of experience working with at‑risk youth in an organized setting
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice
• Resume showing clear evidence of experience
• Proof of HS graduation (diploma, transcripts, or GED)
• Copy of valid California Driver’s License
• Current, state‑issued Security Guard License
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Pay

Salary range: $23.03 – $30.49 per hour, placed on one of 9 annual steps based on relevant experience.

Schedule

7 hours per day, 5 days per week (182 work days per year).
