Responsibilities
- Monitor campus safety equipment such as security cameras, access control systems, and entry-resistant window film to ensure they are working properly.
- Help coordinate safety drills, reunification activities, and staff safety training sessions.
- Act as the point of contact for the Silent Panic Alert Technology (SPAT) system on campus.
- Keep track of and help maintain metal detectors, clear backpacks, and emergency Go Bags for classrooms and the campus.
- Aid in the use and staff training for the Raptor Visitor Management System, video intercoms, and door buzzers.
- Perform daily checks of exterior doors, report any issues, and work with custodial staff to make sure doors are numbered and working correctly.
- Support campus leadership in forming and maintaining a CPI Core Team.
- Help update and organize the Campus Emergency Operations Plan.
- Create and share basic safety reports and updates as needed.
- Identify ways to improve safety procedures and assist with tracking progress.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 Years of direct experience in education, secondary campuses, or security.
- Leadership skills, able to communicate a vision that inspires and motivates campus staff and aligns to the School Safety Departments vision and goals.
- Professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, planning, and execution skills.
- Demonstrate a superior, service-oriented approach to customer support.
- Willingness to be part of a collaborative environment and work closely with colleagues and district stakeholders.
