Campus Safety Officer – Per diem

About the role

Milton Academy is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to serve on a per diem basis, in a community-focused role to maintain and ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff along with Academy-owned or used properties. They proactively identify and respond to and address community needs, representing the institution 24 hours/day and serving as a gateway to services, welcoming and directing visitors during the school day and at various events and athletic competitions. They also play an active role in documenting any incident on campus, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and respond to and address community needs
• Serve as a gateway to services, welcoming and directing visitors during the school day and at various events and athletic competitions
• Document any incident on campus
• Coincoperate with law enforcement as needed
• Build relationships with faculty, staff, and students, especially on-campus residents
• Create a sense of familiarity and belonging

Qualifications

• Experience working in a safety and security capacity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay

$23 to $25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
