Campus Police Officer

Duties

• Enforce laws and university policies
• Patrol on foot or by vehicle
• Respond to emergencies
• Investigate crimes and traffic incidents
• Provide security for events
• Report writing
• Evidence collection
• Serve warrants
• Testify in court
• Traffic and parking enforcement
• Building security
• Assist the campus community
• Perform armed courier duties

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Certified as a Peace Officer by the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) within 6 months of hire
• Obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification through the department
• Pass medical exam, as well as a physical fitness test
• Pass standardized written aptitude test
• Pass Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and California Psychological Inventory (CPI) psychometric tests
