Campus Planner - Campus Services
About the role
Provides professional project management, guidance, and facilitation for master planning, programming, and design projects across all Emory campuses. Projects include new construction, renovations, interior design, and landscape architecture.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of project planning and design, including project scope, budget, contracts, schedule, and consultant teams.
- Led the development of feasibility, programming studies, and site selections for capital projects with appropriate collaboration with consultants and university stakeholders.
- Performs architectural design functions including programming, space planning, and concept drawings for in-house projects.
- Works to ensure that project designs adhere to university aesthetic and quality standards, and collaborates with the campus community in the planning of the physical growth of all Emory campuses.
- Shepherds capital projects through capital development and university approvals processes, drawing upon appropriate campus resources as needed.
- Works with in-house and consultant engineers to ensure functional and sustainable practices are incorporated.
- Collaborates with appropriate Emory entities to plan campus infrastructures, maintain design and construction standards, implement exterior campus hardscape, landscape, and lighting designs, and campus wayfinding and accessibility needs.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
Requirements
Must be a registered architect. A professional degree in architecture, campus planning or a related field and five years of experience managing multiple and diverse capital projects, including master planning, facilities design, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. University building experience preferred. Proficient in Revit, and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Works as a team player.
