About the Role

To advance the mission and vision of Central Ohio Youth For Christ as the lead mobilizer and champion of holistic youth ministry in the middle and high schools of Dublin, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Build a long-term holistic ministry plan for area teens:
    • Develop a community assessment for the assigned area
    • Evaluate holistic needs of the area
    • Create and train towards a pipeline of spiritual growth for students in the Dublin area, working toward long-term discipleship and leadership development
  • Mobilize champions for teens from the area to serve, give and/or pray:
    • Build networks of like-minded adults within the area
    • Identify those interested in championing the needs of area youth
    • Intentionally recruit champions for financial needs, leadership needs, prayer needs, etc.
  • Design, maintain, and recruit leaders for a 3-5 year ministry plan for Dublin area youth
  • Support Development team efforts by facilitating donor events, ministry tours, and similar activities as needed to raise missional champions of Campus Life ministries
  • Build collaborative partnerships to maximize impact:
    • Identify potential partners from the faith community and the secular community to meet the holistic needs of youth in the ministry area
    • Identify potential collaborations and partnerships to achieve the holistic ministry plan
    • Develop and maintain those partnerships with clear objectives and accountability
  • Pioneer and oversee multiple ministry sites:
    • Participate weekly in direct ministry (club, small group, etc.)
    • Serve side by side with leadership of new site start-ups
    • Create strategy, vision and culture for your assigned geographic area
    • Lead and mobilize other like-minded leaders to run targeted Campus Life ministry Sites
  • Manage paid and volunteer leadership teams:
    • Coach and develop all ministry staff in your assigned geographic area weekly
    • Lead/Participate in weekly (local) staff and prayer meetings
    • With ministry site staff, engage, equip and empower volunteer teams
    • Training of new staff as needed
    • Oversee/lead trips and work alongside the Ministry Director on big events
  • Fulfill Staff Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Ensure that ministry data is collected in a timely manner and turned in to COYFC and YFC/USA
    • Ensure that all volunteers complete and comply with annual training requirements and updating insurance paperwork
    • Participate in local and national conferences and training opportunities, as appropriate
    • Participate in regular staff, supervision, and team meetings for COYFC as required
    • Generate reports as needed to reflect ministry progress throughout the year
    • Support chapter-wide fundraising efforts by inviting a minimum of 4 new guests each year to See the Story tours or the Be the Story event
  • Spiritual Responsibilities:
    • Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives
    • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC
    • Regularly share the gospel message with students who come into contact with COYFC ministries
    • Uphold the values and beliefs of COYFC as reflected in the Statement of Faith and Leadership Standards documents, both inside and outside of work time
