EducationVolunteer

Duration: 4 months · Part-time · Experience level: Current university student · Format: Campus-based activities + remote mentorship · Company base: California, USA · Location: Your university campus · Academic credit supported where applicable through your university

About The Role

Some of the most useful product insights don’t come from dashboards. They come from conversations. As a Campus Ambassador, you’ll become a connection between your university community and Day0 Labs. You’ll learn how students discover technology, what makes people curious about trying something new, how communities form, and how early-stage companies learn from real-world interactions. This isn’t designed as a campus sales position. The focus is community, research, product feedback, and learning.

What you’ll learn

  • Campus research: Learn how to explore behaviors, needs, interests, and trends within your university community. You’ll begin thinking about questions such as:
    • What are students using?
    • What problems are they experiencing?
    • How do they discover new tools?
    • What makes them try something?
    • What makes them stop using it?
  • Community building: Learn how communities develop around shared interests and experiences. Explore the difference between generating attention and creating meaningful participation.
  • User conversations: Learn introductory techniques for speaking with users without leading their answers. You’ll see how strong questions can produce better insights.
  • Product feedback: Understand how early-stage teams capture and analyze product feedback. You’ll learn how individual comments can become patterns and how patterns can influence product decisions.
  • Product adoption: Explore the journey from Awareness → Curiosity → Trial → Activation → Continued use. Learn what can help or prevent someone from moving to the next stage.
  • Events & experiences: Learn how small gatherings can create opportunities for product discovery and research. This could include:
    • focus groups
    • feedback sessions
    • product demonstrations
    • creator meetups
    • campus conversations
    • community events

What you’ll participate in

Depending on your campus and current Day0 Labs activities, you may:

  • research student behaviors and trends
  • identify relevant campus communities
  • participate in user-research training
  • help organize supervised feedback sessions
  • participate in campus product research
  • observe students testing products
  • document structured user feedback
  • identify recurring questions
  • identify adoption barriers
  • support small community experiences
  • participate in event planning
  • help coordinate product feedback activities
  • organize insights from campus conversations
  • share observations with the Day0 Labs team

There are no sales quotas or required signup numbers attached to the learning experience.

What you’ll leave with

You’ll gain exposure to:

  • Community research
  • User conversations
  • Product feedback
  • Event coordination
  • Audience analysis
  • Product adoption
  • Communication
  • Early-stage technology

You’ll also develop a stronger understanding of how companies learn from communities before attempting to scale within them.

Who this is for

This internship is particularly suited to current university students interested in:

  • Community
  • Marketing
  • Product
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Creator Economy
  • Communications
  • Technology
  • Student Leadership

You don’t need to be an influencer. You don’t need thousands of followers. We’re interested in students who are curious about their campus, comfortable talking to people, reliable, and willing to listen.
