About the role
The Marketing Strategy Team is a group of influential strategists who embrace the ever-changing marketplace to successfully architect growth for State Farm through customer-first marketing strategies. We’re deeply dedicated to understanding the customer, our business, and the competition, and we use that expertise to build and effectively communicate forward-thinking, data-supported, and insightful strategic direction that drives measurable outcomes for our brand and business.
As a Campaign Strategy Planner, you will play a vital role within our marketing strategy function. You will work alongside a team of marketing professionals who have a strong grasp of the key elements that drive successful campaigns, including consumer insights, competitive analysis, and industry trends. Your responsibility is to serve as the strategic expert for your assigned cross-functional campaign team, leveraging core marketing strategies to develop annual marketing plans, campaign briefs, monitor and optimize campaign performance, develop strategic business recommendations, and other responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary strategic expert throughout the campaign development process, collaborating closely with Campaign Managers and other cross-functional team members.
- Partner with Marketing Development Strategists to create and enhance effective marketing strategies.
- Transform strategic goals and objectives into actionable plans for execution.
- Work collaboratively with team members to assess campaign performance, proactively identify areas for improvement, and promote innovative and diverse viewpoints.
- Identify opportunities for testing and learning within campaign efforts to enhance effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of marketing and/or advertising agency experience required.
- Proven experience leading marketing initiatives and working successfully within a matrix organizational structure.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives and foundational strategy into campaign execution including strong brief writing and executive presentation skills.
- Proficiency leveraging audience analysis, consumer insights, and competitive insights to inform strategic artifacts (briefs, presentations, annual plans, results summaries, etc.).

Pay
- Potential starting salary range: $85,000 - $125,000 (higher end limited to applicants with significant relevant experience).
- For Colorado, Hawaii, and Washington State candidates: $93,500 - $137,500.
- For California, New York, and Connecticut candidates: $106,250 - $156,250.
Schedule
This role may be filled as either 100% remote or hybrid, depending on candidate location:
- Remote: Qualified candidates (outside of hub locations) may be considered for 100% remote work based on current residence.
- Hybrid: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations) should plan to split time between home and office. Hub locations: Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; or Bloomington, IL.
