Campaign Manager

About the role

The New York City Mayor’s Office oversees city services across the five boroughs, coordinates public agencies and departments, and manages public property. Its mission includes making the city more affordable, reducing inequality, improving public safety, delivering efficient services, and strengthening the economy. The Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement (OME) strategizes, coordinates, and executes outreach that reaches everyday New Yorkers, engaging them in shaping policy, demystifying government, and ensuring accountability. OME builds long‑term power for New Yorkers and works to create a city that works for all.

Responsibilities

• Build volunteer systems that enable New Yorkers to participate in large‑scale, meaningful engagement and events.
• Develop campaign initiatives for OME by collaborating with other offices and agencies to create strategic, scalable campaigns that encourage participation in town halls, trainings, canvases, and other events.
• Map out timelines, goals, and metrics to communicate how mass volunteer participation can impact the city.
• Integrate all pieces of OME’s engagement work into mass initiatives.
• Represent OME at public meetings when required.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to build and maintain a wide array of working relationships.
• High level of skill in clear and open communication.
• Experience organizing mass‑participation campaigns.
• Ability to develop and execute long‑term plans, including schedules, metrics, and goals.
• Familiarity with volunteer databases/CRMs, VAN, or autodialers such as Scale to Win (a plus).

Residency Requirement

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. Employees who have worked for the City for two continuous years may reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.

$100,000.00 – $110,000.00
