Camp Counselor (Must be 18 years old)

About the role

The YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team. We are dedicated to providing quality programs and services that promote healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Implement YMCA programs and activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Engage participants in a variety of physical activities, games, and educational sessions.
• Ensure safety and supervision of participants during all YMCA activities.
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and other staff members.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children and/or adults.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (if applicable).

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Skills

• Basic computer literacy.
• First aid and CPR certification preferred.
