Essential Duties
- Enhances the camper experience at Pinewood Country Club while taking responsibility for their well-being and needs.
- Implements camp programs, including chaperoning specialty camps, field trips, physical activities, daily living skills, health, safety, and events.
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for the safety of campers
- Follows camp objectives, rules, policies, guidelines, and daily schedule
- Aids staff with all camp activities
- Serves as a positive role model for youth
- Creates new activities and games
- Shows a genuine interest in campers
- Problem-solves situations and seeks assistance when necessary
- Maintains the recreation/camp center according to Club standards
- Welcomes all club members
- Is punctual and organized
- Participates enthusiastically
- Enhances and teaches skills to campers (e.g., guitar, basketball, art)
- Attends scheduled meetings and training sessions
- Arrives on time with a positive attitude
- Ensures all youth feel comfortable, safe, and included
- Performs all other assigned duties
- Knows campers’ locations at all times
- Participates in and supports summer events
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Lifeguard certification preferred
- Must attend training dates prior to start
- Desire to work with children
- Ability to assist in teaching activities
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Demonstrates leadership, enthusiasm, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, strong social skills, integrity, and a positive attitude
