CALTRANS LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE LEADWORKER
Job Description and Duties
The Landscape Maintenance Leadworker will oversee landscaping maintenance tasks and supervise other workers. Duties include:
- Overseeing the maintenance of landscaping areas, including irrigation systems and mulching.
- Supervising and training other workers in proper techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintaining communication with supervisors and clients regarding project progress and issues.
- Ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations and safety standards.
Working Conditions
The position is located at 1604 S B St, Stockton, San Joaquin County. The Landscape Maintenance Leadworker may be exposed to loud noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather conditions, great heights, confined spaces, uneven and unstable terrain, and vehicle traffic. Personal protective equipment and policies/procedures must be followed.
Rotating or irregular shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, overtime, and responding to after-hour emergencies may be required.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible, you must possess a valid Class B commercial driver’s license with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement, a Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) in Landscape Maintenance or Right-of-Way Pest Control Category, issued by the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA), and pass a drug screening and background investigation.
Possession of Minimum Qualifications
Verification of possession of the minimum qualifications will be conducted prior to the interview and/or appointment. Unofficial transcripts/diplomas must be provided for verification if you are basing your eligibility on education.
Special Requirements
- A Drug Screening must be passed prior to hiring.
- A Background Investigation must be cleared prior to hiring.
- A Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement is required.
- A Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) in Landscape Maintenance or Right-of-Way Pest Control Category, issued by the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA), must be obtained prior to appointment.
