Responsibilities
- Operates light vehicles and equipment requiring a Class C drivers license used by the assigned unit.
- Works individually or with a crew performing tasks related to highway maintenance work.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
Requirements
The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL).
The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.
The position(s) require(s) a valid Class C driver’s license.
Qualifications
Caltrans Highway Maintenance Worker class title requires possession of a valid and unrestricted Class “C” driver’s license.
License is required at the time of application and online examination.
AND Either 1 One year of experience in the California State Service performing the duties of a Service Assistant (Maintenance).
Or 2 One year of experience in general laboring work in construction or maintenance.
(Education equivalent to completion of the eighth grade may be substituted for the required experience.)
