Job Description and Duties

Operate Category 1 and Category 2 equipment used by the assigned unit. Equipment such as but not limited to: end-dump trucks from 2 to 10 cu. yards, with either automatic or manual transmission, equipped with snow plows and sanders. May also operate front-end loaders, motor graders, snow blowers, equipment trailers, rear & side flail mowers, slope mowers and other related vehicles while performing stated duties.

Working Conditions

Position located at 3065 Blairs Lane, Placerville, El Dorado County. Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment. Required to work in a wide range of sometimes extreme conditions, including heat up to 120 degrees, cold to –15 degrees, strong winds, rain, sleet, and snow. Will be required to work overtime due to storms, emergencies, special work projects, or when the Supervisor deems that it is in the best interest of the State to work overtime.

Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.
Occasional travel may be required.
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
The position(s) require(s) a valid and unrestricted Class C driver’s license.
