Responsibilities
- Retain a Class B Commercial Drivers License
- Operate equipment, construction machinery, vehicles and tools
- Perform labor intensive work associated with maintaining the state highway system and during emergency operations
- Perform roadway maintenance tasks including:
- Roadway maintenance
- Pavement repair (loading/unloading/leveling materials using equipment and manual methods)
- Drainage facility maintenance (cleaning and clearing structures, inlets, culverts and ditches)
- Perform roadside maintenance tasks including:
- Vegetation control (pruning, brush and weed management requiring the use of herbicide, mechanical and manual methods)
- Landscape maintenance/irrigation repair
- Replacing & maintaining signs, markers, fences, and graffiti/litter removal
Requirements
The position requires a valid California Drivers License (CDL) with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement. A Drug Screening must be passed prior to being hired. The position requires a valid unrestricted Class B commercial driver's license, with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification. Applicants must possess a valid unrestricted Class B commercial driver's license, with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement, and pass a Drug Screening.
Skills
Must have the ability to operate heavy equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently, as well as the ability to perform manual labor tasks.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $4,571.00 - $5,710.00 per month.
Schedule
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Fresno County. The position is in-office and telework is not available.
