About the role
Conduent delivers mission-critical services and solutions on behalf of Fortune 100 companies and over 500 governments. This position supports Medicaid members in South Carolina as a Call Center Representative. The role is remote within a 60-mile radius of Columbia, SC.
What you will be doing
- Using a computerized system to respond to South Carolina Medicaid member inquiries in a call center environment using standard scripts and procedures
- Gathering information, assessing caller needs, researching and resolving inquiries, and documenting calls
- Providing clear and concise information regarding member eligibility
- Assisting callers with completing their Medicaid applications and providing updates on their application status
- Following documented policies and procedures including call handling and escalations
- Acting as an advocate for Medicaid members to ensure their needs are met
- Navigating across multiple computer screens while accessing and reviewing information from various applications
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to submit to a pre-employment screening
- Must pass the Call Center – Service Skills Assessment and Internet Speed test
- Minimum of 1-year call center experience in telephone customer service or related experience
- Computer literacy and ability to use multiple programs

- Attention to detail, grammar, and spelling accuracy
- One year of medical insurance or medical office experience, preferred
- Call center or professional office experience, preferred
- Computer system experience with data entry and database documentation knowledge
Schedule
- Training: 4 weeks (8:30 am – 5:00 pm EST)
- After training: 8-hour shift within hours of operation
- Full-time schedule (40 hrs. per week)
- No weekends
Pay
$16.00 per hour
