Call Center Representative – Medicaid Member Support

About the role

Support Medicaid members in South Carolina as a first point of contact in a call center environment. This onsite position is located in Columbia, SC, and offers an opportunity to learn about Medicaid member support while working with a team that challenges and inspires you.

What You Will Be Doing

• Using a computerized system to respond to South Carolina Medicaid member inquiries using standard scripts and procedures
• Gathering information, assessing caller needs, researching and resolving inquiries, and documenting calls
• Providing clear and concise information regarding member eligibility
• Assisting callers with completing their Medicaid applications and providing updates on application status
• Following documented policies and procedures including call handling and escalations
• Acting as an advocate for Medicaid members to ensure their needs are met
• Navigating across multiple computer screens while accessing and reviewing information from various applications

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to submit to a pre-employment screening
• Pass the Call Center – Service Skills Assessment and Internet Speed test
• Minimum of 1-year call center experience in telephone customer service or related experience
• Computer literacy and ability to use multiple programs

Pay

$16.00 per hour

Schedule

• Training: 4 weeks, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm EST
• After training: 8-hour shift within hours of operation
• Full-time schedule (40 hrs per week)
• No weekends
