Call Center Representative I

About the Role

This is a full-time, predominantly remote position within the Navigation Center department. Training is conducted on-site in Fountain Valley, Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm. After training, the role transitions to remote work. The schedule requires flexibility between the hours of 7am-9pm, Monday through Friday, and includes one weekend day per month.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first reliable point of contact for patients, families, and providers, delivering the Simply Better MemorialCare Experience in every interaction.
• Prioritize service and customer experience in all communications, ensuring unforgettable guest experiences.
• Demonstrate strong guest-focused engagement via phone, email, and chat.
• Exhibit effective communication, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Utilize strong organizational and multitasking abilities while maintaining a calm demeanor.
• Apply problem resolution and follow-through skills in all tasks.
• Demonstrate knowledge of managed care and business segments, including scheduling reservations for patients and families.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives, maintaining punctuality and a positive, constructive attitude.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of customer service experience or related guest-focused engagement, preferably in a fast-paced call center setting.
• Excellent computer and typing skills, with proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook (ability to operate a PC with speed and accuracy).
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Pay

Pay range: $20.75/hr – $29.47/hr. Placement within this range is based on relevant years of experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
