About the role
Provide exceptional customer service and support for patients and staff through inbound and outbound phone calls in an ENT office.
Responsibilities
- Answer multi-line telephone professionally and courteously, ensuring patients and staff feel welcomed and at ease.
- Schedule all types of appointments accurately and efficiently over the telephone.
- Understand and utilize schedule templates for all providers across all departments.
- Input patient demographic information accurately and completely.
- Document patient requests and information.
- Coordinate work efforts with team members.
- Maintain knowledge of office protocols and physician schedules.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, with responsibilities varying based on departmental needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service, call center, medical office, or healthcare experience preferred.
- Previous appointment scheduling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is between the low and high end of the referenced range. Exact salary will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility, and qualifications.
