About the role
Medcor is seeking full-time Registered Nurses for its 24/7 Occupational Health triage call center. Shifts are between 3:00pm and 3:00am, including 8 and 10-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Talk on the phone for long periods while typing and navigating through various software applications simultaneously
- Visualize an injury while on the phone and clarify details about the injury
- Follow Medcor’s proprietary algorithms to guide the triage of the injured worker
- Manage a rapid flow of incoming telephone calls from Medcor customers in a call center environment
- Document each call efficiently and accurately
- Maintain and monitor individual and call center goals, productivity metrics, and statistics
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees
- Complete accurate assessments of symptoms and/or concerns using Medcor’s Triage Algorithms
- Adhere to HIPAA Compliance Policies
Requirements
- A valid RN license and current BLS (CPR) certification
- Able to handle a high volume of consecutive calls
- Strong technological skills and a typing speed of at least 30 WPM
- Able to work on a computer for long periods
- A private space in your home with 4 walls and a door for patient privacy
- Access to high-speed internet within your primary residence
- Able to receive and apply feedback

- Occupational health experience
Skills
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret triage tools and information

Pay
$28 per hour with additional shift differential pay available for evenings, nights & weekends
Schedule
Shifts are between 3:00pm and 3:00am, including 8 and 10-hour shifts. Permanent schedule is between 3p and 3a with an every-other-weekend requirement and holiday rotation. Changes to the permanent schedule are not allowed within the first 9 months of employment.
