About the Role
This position handles all incoming calls, taking messages and relaying information in response to customer inquiries. The Call Center Associate also operates the overhead paging system and pagers, records call logs, and performs related duties to support hospital operations.
Responsibilities
- Initiates pages and emergency codes.
- Handles all incoming calls and inquiries on the switchboard and answering service.
- Processes calls within departmental guidelines.
- Utilizes Call Center software, hardware, and other hospital resources.
- Completes Release of Information Requests after hours.
- Enters and updates data in the On-Call schedule accurately to promote quality patient care.
- Accesses the Electronic Medical Record to communicate patient appointments.
- Acts as the Resource Person on specified shifts.
- Performs daily duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of three months of related experience in a healthcare environment and/or training in high-volume call center operations.
