About the Role

A law firm with offices in California is looking for a California licensed attorney to assist with labor & employment litigation matters on a part-time or full-time basis. This is a contract position. This opportunity is flexible without a specific hours requirement. The role is completely remote without any travel expectations. Actual experience working on labor & employment litigation matters is preferred but not required. Being fluent in Spanish is strongly preferred. This is a great opportunity for a California licensed litigation attorney who is looking for either part-time or full-time work on a completely remote basis.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing pleadings
  • Drafting and reviewing written discovery
  • Drafting and reviewing motions
  • Hearings

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Outstanding references
  • Organized, responsive, and well-suited to the pace and flexibility of engagement-based work
  • Available approximately 20–40 hours per week depending on what works best for the candidate

Preferences

  • Experience working on labor & employment litigation matters is preferred but not required
  • Being fluent in Spanish is strongly preferred

Compensation

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $175,000 - $210,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
