SF Free Clinic Elective
The San Francisco Free Clinic (SFFC), founded in 1993 by two family physicians, provides care specifically for uninsured individuals in a city with abundant medical resources. The clinic operates out of a modest townhouse in the Richmond District of San Francisco and relies on the generous support of hundreds of physicians and medical facilities.
- Duration: 4 weeks
- Expected Responsibility: Assume full responsibility for patients under the supervision of expert attendings
- Activities: Perform history and physical exams, formulate assessments, present cases to attendings, discuss cases, and develop management plans
- Opportunity: Refresh and hone clinical ambulatory skills before Internship
