About the role

Segal McCambridge is seeking California-licensed attorneys with 1–10 years of civil defense litigation experience across various practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings and motions
• Managing discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Court appearances
• Working directly with experienced trial attorneys on complex, high-exposure cases

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in California
• 1–10 years of civil defense litigation experience
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Enjoy collaborating while taking ownership of their work

Qualifications

• Flexible work arrangements available, including offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, satellite workspace options in San Diego and Orange County, and fully remote opportunities
• Opportunities to work in practice areas including general liability, product liability, catastrophic injury, premises liability, employment, environmental, automotive warranty, habitability, construction defect, professional liability, class action, life sciences, technology, and other complex litigation

Benefits

• $115,000–$200,000 salary, commensurate with experience

Schedule

Pay

$115,000–$200,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with employer match, medical, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, professional development, and more.
