Responsibilities

• Handling a steady volume of insurance defense matters, representing insureds and carriers across a range of civil litigation.
• Actively involved in all phases of litigation - from early case evaluation through discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Conducting legal research and preparing coverage analyses and case evaluations.
• Communicating directly with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
• Attending hearings, mediations, and trials.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission.
• 0-4 years of civil litigation experience; insurance defense background a plus but not required.
• Strong legal writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
• Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset.
