About the Role

The Calibration Technician II is a mid-level position requiring at least three (3) years of commercial calibration experience. This role involves calibrating higher-level equipment and managing multiple disciplines, with expertise in one discipline. The position requires independence, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration work with little to no supervision
  • Conduct independent research when necessary
  • Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from manager
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
  • Maintain calibration standards
  • Understand and apply uncertainties to measurements made
  • Read and interpret labs' scopes of accreditation
  • Work effectively with lab support staff
  • Work at customer on-sites with little to no direction
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
  • Other duties as may be assigned
  • Travel requirements: up to 50% of work schedule

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
  • Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
  • Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Three+ (3+) years of commercial calibration experience
  • Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
  • Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics
  • Understanding of uncertainty contributions to the measurement process
