About the role

As a Calibration Technician in Engineering, you will perform routine and non-routine instrument calibrations, including maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of processing and packaging equipment. This position reports to the Calibration Manager and is 100% onsite, operating on 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate calibration support to manufacturing, packaging, quality, and other departments where current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) equipment and instruments are used.
Set up standards and special-purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments, including researching instrument specifications and calibration techniques for new equipment.
Adjust and repair instruments to meet calibration tolerance requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement functions (lean initiatives) to increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, and improve quality.

Requirements

High school diploma; Associate Degree (AA) preferred.
Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
May be required to work with pressurized equipment, hot surfaces, or in confined spaces.
Position requires standing for long hours.

Physical / Safety Requirements

Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 55 pounds.

Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
Ability to qualify for Grade B gowning.
