About the role
The Calibration Administrator at Jonaco Machine is responsible for managing and maintaining calibration records, scheduling calibration activities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role supports quality assurance processes and ensures the accuracy of measurement instruments.
Responsibilities
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records for all measurement and testing equipment.
- Assign gage identification and update database. Transfer data between databases.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule calibration activities in alignment with production schedules and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 17025) related to calibration processes.
- Documentation: Prepare and review calibration procedures, reports, and certificates to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Data Analysis: Analyze calibration data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement. Update calibration frequencies based on history.
- Support Audits: Assist in internal and external audits related to calibration practices and documentation.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of calibration standards and equipment. Issue gages and gage kits to production personnel. Repair/reorder gages that are not working properly or worn beyond gage tolerance. Manage Customer gaging (identification, inventory, and return for calibration).
- Training: Provide training and support to staff on calibration procedures and best practices.
- Calibration of measurement equipment: As required, ability to calibrate equipment (e.g. Pin Gages, Calipers, Micrometers, Angle Plates, Height Stands, V-blocks).
- Other duties: May be assigned by the direct supervisor or required to ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and customer standards/specifications.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a formal degree or certificate program in a related field of study preferred.
- 3 years of experience preferred.
Competencies
- Physical Demands: Most of the time is spent in a typical office environment requiring the ability to use a computer and telephone for extended lengths of time. Occasionally this position will need to stand, reach, bend, lift, stoop and kneel.
