Calibration Supervisor

Almac Group is seeking a Calibration Supervisor for our Souderton, PA location. This role ensures the execution of all equipment and instrumentation calibrations while maintaining regulatory compliance for Almac Business Units in PA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all calibration activities are scheduled and executed prior to their due date in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Delegate work assignments to calibration staff, including routine and unplanned calibrations, temperature mapping, and other necessary tasks.
  • Support change management and required quality documentation to maintain the validated state of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Oversee calibration SOP activities and the associated risk assessment process, providing subject matter expertise for calibration risk assessments.
  • Coordinate calibration activities with operational schedules to limit downtime while ensuring timely completion and documentation.
  • Review and approve calibration work orders and certificates accurately.
  • Support the calibration budget, identifying cost savings while maintaining compliance and program effectiveness.
  • Manage contractor service agreements to ensure value for money and adherence to agreements.
  • Oversee the health and safety program within the calibration team, including core and equipment risk assessments.
  • Ensure risk assessment training for staff and contractors maintains compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Technical training in electronics and/or controls (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in performing calibration activities of equipment and devices (required).
  • 2+ years of calibration program support (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • Experience with calibration within a cGMP environment (preferred).
  • Employee supervision experience (preferred).
