About the role
The Collaborative Architecture Laboratory (CAL) seeks an experienced Intermediate Designer / Architect to join our dynamic team in New York City. The ideal candidate will bring 5-7 years of professional experience on large-scale international projects, with proficiency in all project phases and advanced skills in computational design tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead fast-paced design efforts on complex projects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs
- Deliver comprehensive drawing sets and coordinate with consultants
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for challenging projects
Requirements
- Professional degree in Architecture
- 5-7 years of professional experience
- Experience on large-scale buildings, cultural, hospitality, high-end residential, and infrastructure projects
- Experience in all project phases from Concept Design to Construction Administration
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
- Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, and AutoCAD
- Skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Interest in learning Unreal Engine, D5, Veras, and Inventor
Qualifications
- Independent and self-motivated
- Critical thinker with a strong problem-solving approach
- Open to learning and adapting to new challenges
- Experienced in international work
