About the role
Nugget Markets is seeking a cake decorator with experience in creating a large number of cakes and desserts in a retail setting.
Responsibilities
- Support the bakery in stocking cases with fresh, high-quality products
- Provide world-class service to guests by preparing a variety of cakes, desserts, and pastries
- Mix creams, sauces, fillings, and icings
- Apply finishing work to cakes
- Take guest orders by phone and in-person
- Aid the bakers and bakery clerks as needed
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to read and write in English
- An eye for color, texture, and design with an attention to detail
- Experience in a retail environment producing a large number of cakes/pastries
- Basic understanding of the English language, including communication, reading, and writing basic instructions, schedules, and signage
- A positive attitude is essential
