Cafeteria Worker I-Allen Ave

Part-time position at Allen Avenue Elementary, 3 hours per day (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM), Monday through Friday during the school year.

About the role

Under supervision, work with the Cafeteria Worker II or School Kitchen Manager to assist in the preparation, heating, and serving of school meals. Maintain a clean and sanitary food service area. Responsible for preparing and distributing meals to comply with all mandated school meal programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in heating, storing, and preparing food items
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in food serving and kitchen maintenance
• Operate basic kitchen utensils and equipment
• Prepare and distribute meals in compliance with school meal programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some experience in quantity food preparation and kitchen maintenance is desirable
• Food service handler’s certificate required

Pay

$17.23 – $20.71 per hour (Range 10A).
