Cafeteria Retail Manager
About the Role
Manage the cafe retail area to provide excellent customer service and support revenue growth. Provide leadership that fosters a team environment built on morale, passion, quality, and respect. Develop and monitor evaluation processes for customer satisfaction while demonstrating continuous ability to maintain and improve satisfaction through communication, integrity, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead retail team member recruiting, training, development, scheduling, and assignments
- Perform daily inspections and assessments; coach and counsel team members
- Manage and monitor all department sales and costs

Requirements
- Minimum associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of retail food experience in quick-serve restaurants, supermarket merchandising, or fine dining
- 3+ years of management experience
- Experience with cash handling policies and procedures
- Familiarity with various point of sales (POS)/register systems
- Knowledge of hospital food service operations
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and ordering platforms
- Must be willing to relocate for promotion opportunities
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), or willingness to obtain certification within 18 months
