Café Dishwasher - Part Time

Part-time onsite role in Ventura, CA.

About the role

The Café Dishwasher is responsible for high-volume dishwashing to ensure the Café operates cleanly and efficiently. This role involves dishwashing, cleaning, and general equipment maintenance while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Handle a large volume of dishes and food service wares, ensuring complete cleanliness.
• Maintain the dishwasher machine with necessary chemicals and upkeep.
• Keep the Café space clean, including the kitchen and dining areas, according to Health Department standards.
• Clean food and equipment storage areas, floors, shelving, and cabinetry.
• Perform deep cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas on a scheduled or as-needed basis.
• Exhibit strong teamwork and communication to ensure tasks are completed promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members or other departments to fix equipment or order supplies.
• Perform any other job-related duties assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Experience

• Large-volume dishwashing experience preferred.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and carry for up to 50 feet.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Bending and lifting throughout the day.
• Ability to wash dishes for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a small, occasionally loud physical space.

Pay

$25.00 USD per hour.
